Democracy vs Dictatorship

"Freedom, Is a strong seed
Planted, In a great need"
Democracy is a successful and popular form of government in the modern times. It is a modern type of government where the "Public Will" is expressed. The dictum,
"Some are born to rule and others to obey,"
is rejected. Abraham Lincoln once defined democracy as:
"...Government of the people,
by the people, for the people,
shall not perish from the earth."
Democracy is a mechanism through which people choose their representative by voting. There are several political parties in a democratic country. The party which wins by the majority of vote is called to form the government. The rest of the parties play the role of an opposition in the "Legislative Assembly". In the assembly, important issues are put up, discussed and decided by voting.
"In a democracy the poor will have more power than the rich,
because they are more of them and
the will of majority is supreme."
In a democratic system, people elect their own rules. If they do not be selected again. The ministers are responsible to the legislature and as soon as they lose trust, they are made to resign. Thus, a change in government is brought about by peaceful methods and not by the coup d'etat or revolution.
The voice of the people is the voice of God

Pride Hath a Fall

"Pride hath a fall" is a universal. We should not be proud of our innate qualities because pride hath a fall. We should neither underestimate nor laugh at others. Hard work continues struggle are necessary to achieve a lofty goal. The story of the hare and the tortoise proves the truth of this famous proverb.
Once there lived a hare and a tortoise in a forest. They were a very fast friends. The hare was very proud of his fast speed. He often mocked at the tortoise for his laziness. One day, as usual, the hare made fun of the slow moving tortoise in the company of other animals. The tortoise felt his insult and challenged the hare to run a race. At first, the hare laugh at the challenge, but the tortoise kept on challenging him. At last, the hare accepted the challenge.
I bet I'll beat you in a race
The tortoise said,'to yonder place'
A distant tree was fixed as a winning post. they requested an owl to act as a judge. On the fixed day, the hare and the tortoise reached the starting point. The owl gave a signal to start the race. the proud hare ran very fast. Soon he was out of sight. On the way, he saw a cool shady tree.He thought that the lazy tortoise could not overtake him. He stopped there to take rest for a while and fell asleep.
The tortoise could not run fast but he went on moving slowly but steadily. On the way, he saw the hare fast asleep. He passed on silently. He was dead tried but he did not take rest anywhere. He continues to walk with strong determination. At last, he reached the winning post.On the other hand, when the hare woke up, he thought that the lazy tortoise would still be far behind. He ran as fast as he could. When he reached the fixed place, he was much ashamed to find the tortoise smiling on the winning post. The judge declared the tortoise winner. The hare which was fond of laughing at the tortoise, became a laughing stock himself.
'Didn't', he cried,"I tell you true
What's the use of speed to you?
I've wone the race. Where'h you be,
If you'd carry a house like me"

Then he realized that he should not make fun others.
